At the Q1E Trust, we recognise our responsibility to embed sustainability in everything we do.
The Q1E Sustainability Vision sets out our ambition to be net zero and climate-ready by 2030 and to provide best-in-class sustainability learning for our children, combined with engagement across the whole school communities that we serve.
The Q1E Sustainability Vision is based on three action areas:
- Decarbonisation and Efficient Resource Use: We are working to reduce our energy consumption, transition towards zero carbon energy sources, minimise emissions and waste, and increase recycling.
- Biodiversity and Protecting Nature: We are working to increase the size and quality of green spaces at our schools, in support of outdoor learning, well-being, and local biodiversity.
- Climate Adaptation and Resilience: We are working to ensure that our school buildings, outdoor spaces, playgrounds, and operations are future-ready and adapted for changing weather patterns.
