We want children to join together as one school community and to feel pride in belonging to New King’s Road School. Our school uniform is compulsory and has been designed to get the balance between looking smart and being practical for a busy, active day at primary school. Please ensure that your child wears the correct New King’s Road School uniform each day.
In line with the Department for Education’s statutory guidance on the cost of school uniforms, unbranded uniform in school colours can be purchased through most major supermarkets and department stores. As part of our school commitment to sustainability, we also encourage parents to 'reuse, reduce and recycle' by purchasing pre-loved uniform where possible. Our PTA have a stock of pre-loved uniform available.
The children are required to wear the school’s royal blue jumper/cardigan with a logo and white polo shirt with a logo. All garments with the school logo must be purchased from Sogans. These are indicated
with the * below.

Winter Uniform:
• *White logo polo shirt (long sleeved if preferred)
• *Royal Blue logo sweatshirt or cardigan
• Grey trousers worn with grey socks
• Grey skirt (knee length) or pinafore worn with white socks or grey tights
• Black shoes (no boots or trainers)
• Children in Nursery may wear grey jogging bottoms if they prefer.
Summer Uniform:
• Blue and white check dress worn with white socks or white tights
• Grey tailored shorts
• Black shoes (no sandals)
Winter uniform should be worn from October Half Term up to the Spring holidays. Summer uniform can be worn during the summer term through to the October Half Term.
PE Kit
• Plain-coloured T-shirt for PE in either red, blue, yellow or green depending on which house your child is in
• Grey jogging bottoms
• Grey or navy shorts
• White socks (tights cannot be worn in PE for Health & Safety reasons)
• Trainers (clean)
Other Items
• *Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 should have a royal blue book bag with the school logo, available from Sogans.
• Years 3 to 6 should have a plain coloured rucksack, ideally in royal blue.
• Children should have a warm and waterproof coat in royal blue. Branded versions are available from Sogans with the school logo.
